There needs to be a rule of no drinks when on laptop. Also don’t buy her anythinf for fun for a few months and tell her you have no money as you needed to buy a new laptop. Don’t make it a punishment but just a natural consequence.

She’s apologetic and I have remained very calm, but I am so upset and just need space from her now. I feel so angry. I did everything I could and took it to Apple. Total loss. Worst timing, just bought a house, need to sell our other home, have a bunch of repairs in each. Money is so tight. And I need it for my job.
I know it’s my fault for letting her use it. But oh my god. I will never let her drive a car. I am feeling so bummed. Just needed to vent.

But remember to have grace. Accidents happen. Imagine if you were your daughter - you would feel absolutely terrible, and having your mom being mad at you wouldn’t help. Especially if you were already at urgent care. I hope your daughter is ok!
