All they do is pass your name to a dealer that has a set price for that program. Every time I tried it, it was higher than the price the dealer gave me for just asking

Last time we used it, no. Everything was still MSRP and basically it was nothing. It’s been a year or so though so not sure if new car buying market has changed.

At the end of year, Costco members often get really good extra discounts. Need to be a member earlier in the fall to be eligible.
