We're seeing it on specialized meteorological sites, where models keep updating several times a day. The weather people in the general media are not going to risk a major prediction error, and take the reputational hit, by announcing anything this far out.

We have a very interesting month ahead:
1. Saturday, wintry mix, little to no accumulation.
2. And then it gets dicey: Tuesday and Wednesday, two consecutive thumps of snow. The timing is still not nailed down. The accumulation is still not nailed down. Latest models show iNtEresTinG quantities of snow, which might not actually happen, so meteorologists don't want to rile everyone up. I saw the GFS model hallucinate 18 inches total come Wednesday. We'll get less. Maybe 6 inches? No one knows for sure at this point.
3. Over the weekend, you'll want to check Capital Weather Gang daily for their enlightened predictions. I will post here on DCUM, or someone else will.
4. And then there's more stuff coming later in February

Your app shows data based on one model run almost a week out, which means it’s basically useless.

I have a flight home into IAD on Tuesday. Assuming that will be cancelled.

I have a 3 pm flight out of DCA on Tuesday. Wondering if it will take off. Not sure of the timing of the storm.

3-5” Tuesday and anything that falls after that will be wintry mix if not outright rain.

The sun will rise. Then it will set. That's what we're hearing. Beyond that it's anyone's guess at this point.

And snow Wednesday, ice Thursday and more snow on Friday. They will go to school on Monday only

If the forecast holds, Tuesday and Wednesday may be pretty snowy, but it's still early.

It's 5 days from now and anything could happen.

It might be a wintry mix. Models are not in much agreement at the moment.
