Collectors world is worth a shot

There isn't much from that era that is of value and to be of value it has to be in pristine condition and even then it won't be worth much.

Your husband should go thru it (you can look on ebay to get a sense of what some stuff might go for) in case there is anything of value in there and then I'd list it on Craigslist for $100 and hope someone else will take a flyer on it hoping to turn up something of value.

If you take it into a card shop they will definitely know the value but also be able to tell if you do or you don't know what you have so I'm not sure you'll do much better.

I’ll be honest much of the stuff from that era is oversaturated in the market and he may not get much unless it’s an extremely rare piece. There’s a place in Annandale- collectors world- and the owner has been doing this since he was a teenager, super honest guy. If he isn’t willing to do it, he will give you suggestions of other places that will.

My husband has a trove of vintage ('70s and '80s) sports memorabilia that's taking up a lot of space... Is there a dealer in the area (D.C., MD, VA) that will give me a lump sum for this stuff? I don't have the time to sell it piecemeal on eBay and I doubt much of it is particularly valuable. (Yes, he has consented to selling most of it.) It's mostly program books, unworn hats and commemorative t-shirts, pennants, and magazines. Football and golf, and some baseball.
