Yes, Trump was elected to destroy the government.

The Republicans are destroying our anti-climate change efforts. We need to remind everyone who cares about the environment or our childrens' future about this.

But sure, let's shut NOAA down

https://berkeleyearth.org/january-2025-temperature-update/

January 2025 was the warmest January on record at 1.64C above preindustrial levels, and 0.09°C above the prior record set in 2024.

I cried this morning. We paid for that research, Americans carried it out, and a kid goes in there and clicks delete.

They said the exact thing about datasets eight years ago.

Last time Trump was in office some of the climate data did go away and a lot of the climate-related work was put on pause.

Lee Zeldin has in the past said he believes in climate change and has in the past said he believes it is a serious issue because he and his family were personally affected by Hurricane Sandy. https://www.nysenate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2013/lee-zeldin/zeldin-announces-senate-passes-comprehensive-hurricane

But that said, it will be pretty disgusting if or when he puts his actual personal experiences and beliefs on the back burner just because Trump said so. That will show an extreme lack of character and morals.

Given his Five Pillars just released, which says EPA's mission is bizarrely all about "energy dominance" and "american automaking" that lack of character and morals is manifesting itself. https://smartwatermagazine.com/news/us-epa/epa-administrator-lee-zeldin-announces-epas-powering-great-american-comeback-initiative

When the POS won the election four years ago, a relative of mine spend weeks dowloading weather data in order to save it from destruction by the POS. I some of the data will be saved, but it may be far less accessible.

It's amazing how brazen the GOP administration's crooks are!! They don't even try to hide their cronyism and corruption.

Last week, you didn’t want to have the word “diversity” in your job title or description. This week, the word is “climate”.
