Curious how long ago this was. With number portability so many people don’t have numbers that match their residency

Also, does this mean that people who don’t have 202 numbers should call the reps matching their area codes?

This has not been my experience. I am from a purple state with red senators and still have a phone number with that state’s area code. Those senators’ offices pick up as do my current blue state senators.

I write scripts for my family in other states. A bit more personalized to their situations than the ones available online and it makes me feel like I'm doing something.

I can contact our DC 'representatives' but they're already on the Dem side and can't vote anyway. I want to be effective, but am feeling lost. I will protest in the street, I've donated/gotten paid subscriptions to support reputable journalism, donated to AOC. Can I write/call out of state reps and Senators or is that a fools errand?

Stop sucking off the government teet and move to real America.

Out of state reps and Senators could not care less what you think.

lol go look at Texas state budget. 31% of the state’s budget comes from the federal government.

That's a weird perspective on 700,000 people paying the same federal taxes as you, but getting no representation. But go off

Maybe write and explain that because you don’t have representation, you make donations in other districts. Then say your piece. But I agree with PP that the best thing is to push friends and family in other states.

No you will not be able to get through. They screen everything. If you are not in their district they delete or throw away your contact/messages.

Best thing is to push your friends and family members who live in states and have real congressional representation to contact their senators and representatives (either party). An example of something to share is 5calls.org.
