I dunno, I like this PP. They actually care enough to notice that their friends are ruining their health, and by extension, their futures. Why is someone who sits back and says nothing a better friend?

We cant say without a picture, but there is something you need to remember. Any guy in the 35-40 age range who is still a bit of a catch and wants kids is going to go after women younger than you. This board is full of woman who tend to see single men in that age range as damaged goods. The truth is a lot of men are focusing on their careers or maybe they were out of shape for a while and then figured things out or maybe hit it big in their career and has women interested in them now.

I am a 38 year old guy with a great career and a good personalty who wants kids. I was single for while and got on dating apps at 35, but was unhappy with my results. So I deleted it for a bit, lost 40 pounds, took new pictures, and set up a new account. I was able to easily date women in their late 20s/early 30s who were ready to settle down that I never would have given me a shot before. Now at 38 I recently got married to someone who is 31.

A lot of men are going to do the same thing I did. They most likely are not going to start dating someone who is 38 if they want kids.

What apps are you using? From what I understand some like PoF skew lower SES bc its free or at least costs less than other options.

That said, you are going to get served up all sorts of matches. Thats the way it is.

That said, If the only people who you match with, go on a date with and/or go on multiple dates with are all “beneath you”, well its you.

What is he supposed to do? He is not their dad. If they are appy being fat with protruding bellies the size of cantaloupe and drinking every weekend then all power to them. There is so much you can do in convincing people to have a healthy lifestyle.

We have no way of knowing how ugly you may be. However, my very pretty SIL is 38 and JUST got engaged after dating a guy for ... I don't know - at least five years. Don't give up hope.

In order to match with them you must have swiped on them too right? I mean, if you're getting consistent results you either need to optimize the input (pics, profile) or if you already did that then you can assume that's what you can attract in the dating pool.

Most likely though you can compromise on one attribute (looks, money, etc.) for another.
