I say target (but that is not the same thing as a safety of course!). Still your daughter is a strong student and I think has a very good chance of getting in.

I think it is a target, especially as you said the essays were strong. I think that is really important. And W&M cares about demonstrated interest.
Wishing your daughter good news soon.

Good but not competitive scores (1350 SAT) due to diagnosed learning disabilities. Intellect and comprehension are high but processing speed is low. Scores don’t match grades so she chose TO. Hopefully submitting AP scores will help a bit.

Come on. How did she get 4s and 5s on the AP tests but a 1350 on the SAT? Slow processing would also apply to the AP tests. Perhaps she didn’t study enough for the SAT. I say this as a parent of 3 ADHD kids.

In their CDS they say standardized tests are "very important." Hopefully, DD's AP scores check that box. I wish her good luck. If not she will be very happy at JMU. I went there.

Thank you!

Yes. TO exists for a reason.

Naviance says W&M is a target. But UMD was a target too and she was rejected, along with many of her HS peers.

WM is a reach for you since Umd rejected not defer/WL

I would htink W&M is a reach for most. Maybe this is somewhere in between Target and Reach, realistically?
