My kid is in CES right now. There are a couple different CES locations - I assume you know that. Right now, my child is between books. She just finished a book for a very brief “book talk.” For that assignment, each kid had to read a different book and they chose from the teacher’s library. Then, I had to pick up a copy from the public library because she kept leaving it at school when she needed to read at home.

Did you check that school's website? Do they have a CES section with any info? Your kid talk to any friends of theirs that did end up going to a CES to ask them? Email teacher at your current non-CES school to ask for a list that is similar to one found in a CES program? Check school's library list? Or a public library list for titles for whatever level you want your kid to read?

As someone whose kid could have gone to the CES but didn't due to distance, I would have loved to know what they're reading so I could have supplemented at home.

OP can't be serious. If your child is in CES why wouldn't you simply ask the teacher, or someone at that school. Troll

CES was where my child first met a large number of others who love to read. The teachers made a big chart of books popular with the CES kids and I remember it was really diverse. I wish someone would take a picture of that activity and post it because I think that would really help others. My kid would scan that chart regularly and always loved what they read. Sorry I wish I could remember more but there was the March series, the Divergent series, Mysterious Benedict society

It's different at different CESes. There's no central list.

OK. List any books that your child is reading. Then people whose kids were waitlisted for CES can have a list of books for their kids to read. -NP

Did you ask the child’s teacher?

Can anyone post a list of reading books they use in the CES class room for elementary school? My child is in CES and sometimes needs help with these books, would like to get them and start working at home on those.
