This year is the peak for HS grad numbers, after this it goes down. But it’s not as dramatic a decline as “cliff” makes it sound.

2007 was the biggest birth year in US history. So, yes. Your 15 year old will be after the peak.

It's not exactly a big cliff. And many schools are still test optional, which increases apps. Not going back to the way things were even 10 years ago anytime soon.
