RSM is a 5 minute drive, Vienna is 30 minute drive. I don’t know is AoPS has a math competition in person class. And he likes RSMs program so why change?

AoPS is a good program but not the only one. People on this forum seem to be very fixated on AoPS and don’t seem to be interested in looking at different options.

Which classes are they taking in 8th grade?

The baseline academic-year AoPS in-person math class series can be displaced by Blair accelerated math classes and math clubs, where most of your AoPS classmates are going to. Plus some aligned Alcumus for extra challenge math homework. And the books are great to have and read alongside class.

The high level contest courses that are mostly online can be replaced by math clubs peer study groups, depending on kid.

What a ridiculous thread. People talk about AoPs because they like it. This is the most parsimonious explanation and no conspiracy theory necessary.

It all depends on the child's interest and appetite. DC liked Kumon in early elementary, and later switched to Curie along with friends, and enjoys doing it along with them.

If your child enjoys the enrichment then there is no reason to stop. My kid has continued with RSM because he likes the math competition program. If your child doesn’t enjoy it, then stop.

Not sure what you are referring to. I believe this is my first post on AAP ever. It looked like a good place to ask. SMCS has a long day, and commute adds to it, and then they will have HW on top... but DC wants to continue through AoPS and we are wondering if that makes sense.

I agree with PP. These posts referencing aops on different dcum forums is ridiculous and transparently product placement.

Not sure what you are referring to. I believe this is my first post on AAP ever. It looked like a good place to ask. SMCS has a long day, and commute adds to it, and then they will have HW on top... but DC wants to continue through AoPS and we are wondering if that makes sense.
