It used to be so monopolized by the affluent areas that the county had to guarantee anchored spots for TP middle to get local representation in the pipeline who had historically had not been as competitive with the required avgs for selection.
If we are being honest it is child specific but we don’t know how the new selection criteria will affect completion or test averages. That said most magnets are in poorer and diverse areas so the school makeup should feel familiar if coming from a lower ranked middle
