Yes! My kid had to miss a class, and it was fine. Just give advance notice.

I think there's a lot of flexibility. My DD took it over the summer between 9th and 10th and got warnings all the way thru that she was on the cusp of failing. At the end she got an A grade. I don't know how, I guess she just caught up.

I don't think so because it's frequently different teachers for the different sessions. We had an important family conflict one evening for one of the last required classes and asked the teacher about this and he didn't give an explanation why my son couldn't attend a different time slot, but merely said my child could have an excused absence.

Health over the summer:

It looks like last year, there were a certain number of required synchronous Zoom sessions, with a daytime 1pm option or an evening 7pm-ish option. Does anyone know if there is any way to attend “mostly” the same time but the other time slot once or twice due to a conflict? For instance, student has midday rehearsals for a theater production, so primarily attends the 7pm class, but the evening of the performance attends the 1pm class?
