I haven't read book not seen movie but was thinking about it the other day because I love the title. Should I read?

It's one of my fave books of all time, but I haven't seen the movie - I am not interested in ruining the book

Modern, like developed in the past 10 years. - op

Thanks!

Haha, well good that you clarified that, because I was going to respond with my two all time faves which are oldies but goodies: the notebook and in her shoes.

Last 10 years - I'd say Crazy Rich Asians.

If you really like the book, you're probably not going to like the movie.
There are rare occasions, but it's almost always this way.

100 Years of Solitude has a decent limited series out now, and it is an interesting example of how a show can never really capture everything in a brilliant book.

A Room with a View. An enjoyable read but an amazing movie from the 80s with Daniel Day Lewis and Helena Bonham Carter.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad (Apocalypse Now)
The Accidental Tourist by Anne Tyler (film of same name)

Killers of the Flower Moon
The Book Thief
American Fiction
Remains of the Day

these are book and film titles

The list is endless

In the mood to read something that was made into a movie. What is a good pairing?
