What would be the point? If you are doing Suzuki lessons, presumably the child participates in ensembles and group performances already anyway.

You could try the appropriate level in TCSYO

DCYOP has more levels of programs and doesn’t segregate by age. For younger kids, they can actually get into higher levels of DCYOP than MCYO. So while it is true that the top orchestra of MCYO is more selective than the top level of DCYOP, it is actually not the case that MCYO is necessarily more selective at younger ages.

I don’t know about them specifically, but generally for “try out required” orchestras you want to be minimum book 2, if not Book 3.
