It was a good one. It’s just there is nothing appealing about “soggy in a good way.” It makes me want to gag. And the flavor is just…sugar.

Maybe you just have bad taste? Are you a generally picky or unadventurous eater? Not everyone can appreciate a Picasso.

Oh come on. We all have different preferences in taste and texture.

PP saying and explaining why she doesn't like it is not an insult to those who do. My DH can describe exactly why a tomato makes him gag, my SIL can illustrate what happens to her mouth when a spicy pepper hits her lips. Their experience is legitimate and not an insult to tomato and pepper lovers.

That was my thought as well. When it’s cut perfectly it looks so elegant and delicious but it’s so gross. Everything about it is gross.

It’s my favorite dessert and I’m not even Hispanic.

Too sweet and the wet texture makes me gag (something reminiscent of grape jelly seeping through wonder bread in my 1970s grade school lunch). I always want to like it, and am frequently lured into ordering it, but always regret it.

Nope but dessert isn’t really a Mexican specialty. I would when preferred churros but they get soggy.

No, too sweet for me (I never say this) and a "different" texture

LOVE it! All the vanilla and cinnamon really hits the spot. Maybe give it another try. At a proper restaurant, not catered

Omg it’s delicious.
I love cream though. If you don’t I can see why you wouldn’t enjoy it.

Was just at a lunch event catered by a higher end Mexican restaurant. The dessert was Tres Leches Cake. Possibly my first time ever having it after always seeing it on menus.

I’m not at all narrow minded food-wise but it was so gross. What do people like about it? It has the texture of wet bread or a wet sponge. Super cold. No real distinct flavor aside from tons of sugar.

Honestly, I’d rather just have a boring piece of vanilla cake. Turning it into an overly sweet sponge ruins it.
