I usually heat frozen edamame in microwave for 5-6 minutes, rinse in cold water, add salt ( can also add sesame oil and black pepper powder) and mix. It’s tasty and healthy.

I steam the in shell kind and put salt on it. The shelled one I dump into any stirfry, cucumber salad, pretty much any dish I’m having with rice.

But sometimes people do different things! For example, I like to brown my gyoza and then I throw in the edamame and put the lid on for the steaming bit (instead of water; sometimes I do need a bit of water still)

We just steam or saute with various seasonings (garlic and salt, Old Bay, chili oil/lime).

My kids love edamame.
