I thought it was dumb Summer at Sandy Spring wasn't having camp that week because of the potential snow make up days, now they look like geniuses.

For my children, who are now in high school or who already graduated, the last days of school were always about whether something fun was going to happen. If nothing fun is scheduled, they don't go, because actual instruction is sure to be absent!

Those people are still going to go to camp. Who would miss a day of paid-for camp for half a day of watching movies in an empty classroom?

What a waste for all. No learning, basically babysitting for teachers. MCPS do better. What was wrong with the other 3 days listed? Make it make sense.

Ridiculous, more than half of kids will not go.

Depends of what camp does, but I'm guessing my kid won't attend. Unlike a day in January, it's not educationally valuable.

No learning will take place that day, most teachers will be packed up in their classrooms. If your kid needs to come to school great. If your kid does not, great.

It’s early release as well. Insane. Wait all weekend just to come in for 4 hours and then leave.
