(Banana and Coconut, while delicious, are rather distinctive, so you might also want to offer an alternative like brownies or chocolate candies for those who would prefer another option.)

Not difficult to make Panna cotta. Individual servings, so you won’t have to worry about what to do with leftovers. Orange or lemon posset is similar. If you want to stick to something Peruvian, try Mazamorra morada (I’d 100% make chicha morada as a drink; it’s incredibly good). Or something like flan if folks are less adventurous.

Do you have a pretty glass parfait dish? I would make a black pepper shortbread and pomegranate parfait . This recipe uses strawberries but I think pomegranate is more interesting

Have the chef make dessert.
Otherwise, go to a nice pastry shop and pick out a few things.

Cake sounds great, a bundt would be festive, and people could have smaller slices if they don’t want much.

If you want something easy you can do in advance, but you do want to make something rather than just buy a cake or something, pick up a grocery store poundcake or even a Pepperidge Farm frozen one, and rip it up and make a trifle.

Maybe it's just my (boring) circle but it seems like nobody is big into sweets or wanting to eat a slice of cake so I would pick up some fancy chocolates or cookies from a nice bakery and serve with coffee.

I love the various Italian cookies, or cannoli. Or, since it’s citrus season you could do orange and pomelo slices.

Not cupcakes. I agree about going to the bakery and getting a cake

I would pick up something from a bakery, like individual tarts or a cake.

Peruvian chicken with appropriate sides and sauces. In the DMV this isn’t a biggie. But, we no longer live in the DMV and it’s nowhere to be found. I have a craving.

This sounds really nice. Go to a bakery and see what looks good.

We’re having a dinner party this weekend of three couples total. Need dessert ideas.
We’re actually having a chef prepare the dinner but no dessert. I know, that’s a bit much but DH had surgery, one kid has a tournament, the other kid has several practices, and I’ll be lucky if I can clean the house.
Dessert? Just a cake? I like cake. I could probably turn out some cupcakes.
