Yes to both sexes, but in the case of men... oxytocin (or the "love hormone") literally clouds men's judgment. Orgasms make them more complacent and increase their bond with a partner (assuming they aren't a sex addict), while semen retention makes them more driven... especially towards pursuing women. Making frequent love to Rosy Palm makes a man an unmotivated sap in general, and they're still centering their free time around women... They're just 2D is all.

No matter what you do, your judgment is going to be clouded by others to some degree. You might as well make sure it's clouded by a truly phenomenal person.

I don't think it's "women get attached via sex so you'll get attached to someone you don't like". There's plenty of times I've had sex with a guy and lost interest afterwards.

It's that if you ever had intense sexual chemistry with someone, like the OP of that thread did, you'll overlook massive red flags. So you need to get to know someone first and make a decision BEFORE you introduce sexual chemistry into the mix.

It's just one of those things where if you've been there, you get it. Good sexual chemistry can be a drug.

If sex clouds judgement then that person isn't developed enough to see it's one aspect of a relationship. It's important but only in its place.
