Don't drink so can't speak to specifics, but for kids you have the children's museum, science museum, Virginia Museum of History and Culture has a room for kids to play in if anyone wants to go there and switch off the museum is pretty small. Also right by Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which is very nice and free. If you want only outdoors, you can walk by the river (probably too cold for a boat tour then?), there's Maymont with a nature center, and Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.

Agreed! We did this when our kids were that age with two other families. We got an AirBnb/VRBO and stayed together. It was a lot of fun.
Animals, Dutch Wonderland, and trains were all part of the long weekend.

Agreed! We did this when our kids were that age with two other families. We got an AirBnb/VRBO and stayed together. It was a lot of fun.
Animals, Dutch Wonderland, and trains were all part of the long weekend.

In the fall I went to Luray/ Shenandoah for a weekend and where we stayed was MAGA central.

Any suggestions of places to go in the spring for a long weekend that aren't quite so like that (or not, I guess everything will be MAGA outside of our bubble)?

Group of mom friends with kids 1-3 yo. Would love kid- friendly activities, brewery/ winery, outdoor things to do.
