So if a kid's math iReady was 98th percentile, is that high enough?

I think my child belongs in advanced math (teacher has complained that they rush on their homework and turn it in before the school day ends, but the answers are always correct) and would like to request that they get pushed in. I don't think our school does push ins, but they do principal place. How can I ask for that?
I would guess that the Teachers complain about homework being rushed means that he is being messy or not writing out the steps. I would ask the Teacher what you child needs to focus on with his math. I know that people push back on the idea that math answers need to have the steps written out but that is a skill that is necessary as kids advance. Getting into that habit at a young age is good for kids. And it shows the TEacher that the kids understand the different strategies that are being taught.
