I complain sometimes about our Episcopal church doing too many sermons like this, about the evils of things that basically no one in the congregation supports, but when you've got the most powerful person in the world who DOES in front of you, it's the right call.

Still would not be surprised in Bishop Budde becomes a MAGA target … Hope they don’t demonize her like Fauci ..

But I am so glad that she used her powerful platform to stand up for non criminal immigrants and transgender people who now fear for their lives. She is a genuine, highly intelligent, kind, courageous, and disciplined religious leader. That was all on display in her homily at this service as she spoke to truth to power.

Sermon went straight to the point and it was telling that Melania and Usha stayed stoic the whole time. Usha didn’t even react when JD looked at her multiple times to commiserate.
