What does he like?
I’d get an experience gift, could be anything based on interests such as tickets to a sporting event/ concert, F1 driving, restaurant voucher, museum/ performing arts membership, weekend getaway, etc.

I got a bunch of his old high school friends to send videos wishing him a Happy Birthday and strung them together to show him on the TV at his party. It was fun! Perhaps it's not a traditional gift, but it did make him smile. It was pretty easy to manage using Facebook - I was able to reach many of them that way using direct message, and then they just texted me the videos.

I love to give "month club" gifts. 3/6/12 months of "Beer of the Month", Cheese, Soup, dessert, pasta, tea, etc...

They've been huge hits.
