It's 3 years "honors" AP intro to CS. The classes are fine but the “program“ means nothing.

As a regular school program. It has no external dependencies, so it will bore a student who already does programming as a hobby. A kid like this might ask to skip into AP CS A (equivalent to programming 2) and might try to do that in 9th, or else take an elective in 9th and CS A in 10th

It's fit for a kid on a basic honors school track, like Algebra 1 in 8th grade, but a bit of a drag for a motivated, talented programmer.
