I think this is a great option, particularly if intending to go to medical school, which is also very expensive. Georgia is a terrific school for undergrad. Really solid academically. Athens is one of the best college towns in the country. And Georgia is a happy school, which is important. Plus the students in the honors college are going to be a bright bunch. It'll be a good peer group - not much different than Duke students except a little more middle class. I think this is a nice path to medical school.
