AKA, about 15 years ago I stayed in one for a couple months. Chris Rock and Alec Baldwin lived on either side of me.

Try Streeteasy.com. You can seach for shorter term leases. There are some hotel residences on CPS (I think they are in the Marriot hotel) that are shorter term. But yes, they are pricy.

There used to be a short term luxury rental site for NYC and Paris. Maybe try Googling that.

See if you can get on any local parenting Facebook groups. As a new Yorker, I secure lots of short term rentals for visiting family this was.

Banning Airbnb was a terrible idea, truly. And I work in housing policy in NYC.

That's an obvious scam listing- no way an apartment that big and nice in that location goes for $200/day. I'd say minimum $600.

And yes zero protections. Would stay far away

AKA has some.
Phillips Club is another.

Personally, I wouldn’t. You can still get an apartment through hotel residences like mandarin or four seasons. But obviously that’s pretty pricy.

Now that NYC has basically outlawed Airbnb and bro, has anyone had success finding a short-term apartment through other means? I heard someone say that ppl have gone back to Craigslist. I saw some nice listings there like this
https://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/vac/d/new-york-two-bedroom-two-bath-unit-with/7815017642.html

But obviously super risky if you can’t verify somehow….. thoughts? I strongly prefer an apartment to hotel for a family trip to New York.
