Back roads definitely has kids on family group tours. My kids have done several in elementary school.

I was looking to do something similar in northwest spain, but our kids are still a little young so decided to save it for later. Here is one of the places I was looking: https://www.gironacycling.com/ If you end up doing it, please report back! I'd love to hear how it is.

Backroads has some family trips that are for teens and 20s, maybe look into one of those destinations? We took a trip through Butterfield & Robinson, although it was a mix of hiking and biking.

We love Walker's Britain (which has a lot of cycling tours), but these are private, unguided trips. But you get the bikes, backup support, accommodation, maps... it was everything we needed. I'm not familiar with Duvine, but you can get a very accurate sense of the accommodation level of walkers Britain on their website. The cost is substantially less than backroads.

Hi - My DH and i were lucky enough last year to do a cycling trip with Duvine and it was probably the best vacation we've ever had. Now we are hooked and want to do more, and so would DS - who is currently 13.
Unfortunately, Duvine and the main competitors (Backroads, Butterfield) only take kids on cycling trips if you do the private option - which really raises the price. Almost double for just the three of us (compared to a group of 10+ others).
Does anyone know of a cycling tour company that takes kids? It looks like Backroads and some others offer "family" trips - but they are very light on the cycling, and for ages 8+. Much more hiking and very low key "family schedules". DS is over 6 feet and high energy and can handle an intense touring schedule as well as me and DH (we've done a few intense family trips in the last couple years, and he's super easy going and always the last man standing at the end of a busy touring day). On the flip side, i get why high end tour companies like Duvine don't welcome kids - because if i was another guest and showed up for my luxury trip and there was a 13 year old in the group of 12 people, I'd be annoyed.
Is anyone aware of trips that can accommodate teens and still do adult-style guided cycling trips? Or something similar that fits the bill?
