I've been to all of these except Denver. I'd add San Antonio and Minneapolis.

I’ve never been, but I’d go just to visit Onyx Coffee Lab.

+1

my rule is # of days > = # of hours it takes to get there. E.g., NY takes 3 hours, so a trip of at least 3 days/2 nights is appropriate.

Have you explored MD’s Eastern Shore? The Western Shore? The Blue Ridge Mountains? Frederick? Winchester?

Why? That seems like a very strange rule to me.

This is roughly our rule too. But Bahamas would still work. Also Puerto Rico.

Love St. Barths but it’s a pain to get to with no direct flights. Too much hassle if you only have 3-4 days

NYC or Pittsburgh are about as far as I'd want to go for 3-4 days. There are some neat parts of West Virginia too. If you want to fly, Miami, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Detroit, or Boston. Depends on time of year!

So....with kids graduated and no more college payments...I'd love to take some 3-4 day weekend trips...either DH and I or perhap a first ever girls weekend (never done one) trip. Would love some ideas. Thanks!
