If you are seeing a few shows over a long weekend once you buy your first TKTS ticket, you can get in the priority lane the next day, which bypasses the line.

Are you going during a peak time? Do you want to see any show? Or a specific show? If you have a specific show in mind, you can try things like the Amex portal and todaystix, but probably you have to just buy tickets.

Yup as this person mentioned, it is best to book now to get the dates and show you want for the 2 for 1 ticket prices of Broadway week running from 1/21 through 2/9! I am excited about a couple shows I am seeing next weekend!

Just as an aside, I learned during my last trip that if someone gets sick or can’t make their show, at least some theaters will give you up to a year to rebook. Then they sell those tickets to people who walk up right before the show starts. Haven’t don’t this - met someone in a bathroom line who shared this.

I would not recommend this, but my FIL has TWICE just showed up. He and MIL usually plan for shows when that is a part of their NYC trip but once they were passing through New York and once were in New York for my nephews graduation and just decided to go to a show.

But it looks like you can get tickets for some days for $65, so I would just buy those instead of getting a lottery ticket.

Amex sometimes has broadway ticket discounts. Look on the Amex portal if you have that.

If you are going to NYC to see Aladdin, why would you chance it? Hitting up TKTS is only for those times when you want to see a show and you don’t care which one.

That being said, there is no way that I’ve ever found to avoid the fees.

DD and I are taking a last minute trip to NYC. What is the cheapest way to get broadway tix for Aladdin without excessive fees? or do I chance it and buy it when I get up there at ticket office?
