Why don't you ask SAS what they do in these situations? It seems they only have one flight to Prague a day, so what will they do - put you in the flight the next day or put you on another airline?

Look up the EU compensation guidelines before you leave. They may owe you money if the connection doesn't work.

I've had shorter layovers, with kids, in CPH and been fine. And, the one time we did miss our connection to Milan b/c of a delay on our originating flight, SAS had already rebooked us on the next flight by the time we got off the plane. We just went to the customer service desk and got new boarding passes. It was seamless.

We had a layover in Coppenhagen over winter break, you just have to stop by the airlines deal and check back in (they stamp a physical boarding pass) before you head to the gate, after you go through customs. Didn't take very long, they are organized and friendly

Same airline? You’re fine. As PP said, they know you are in the airport and racing to the next flight.

OP here. Saw my arrival gate and departure gate to Prague are pretty near each other. Will going to customs bring me out of the way? Terminal 3, Gate C is where both my flights arrive/depart in Copenhagen. I am flying on SK 916 from NYC-JFK.

It's fine. I've done even shorter connections in CPH. You're on SK926 I believe. Once you get off, head down the narrow hallway for connections and you'll be faced with the passport control. They are used to it. The line moves fast. Now you're in the Shengen area. Walk to your gate. The airport is big, but not that big. No trains or shuttle buses or terminal changes needed. Just don't dally around in the shops.

Also the flights from the US often arrive a bit earlier than planned, so you're likely to have a bit of extra time. And.. this is the slow time of year for travel, so walking through the airpot and you wont' have to dodge too many people.

You should be fine. Make sure you don’t have a lot of liquids in your carry-on, they’re strict about that. Even if your liquids are in bottles under 3 ounces, they have to all fit in a small ziplock bag.
Worst case, if you miss your flight, Copenhagen is an awesome city. I’ve been to both and prefer spending time in Copenhagen over Prague, although both are beautiful and a must visit.

Customs has always been in the first EU country in my experience. Get through that and go wherever inside EU.
75 minutes should be plenty. The second plane knows ( I kid you not) that you landed and are racing towards them. They may even wait for you.

Given both Denmark and Czech Republic are in Schengen zone, I was told by Danish embassy that I will have to do customs there before getting on connecting flight to Prague.

With this very tight layover, I am nervous about missing next flight. Any ideas or similar experience?
