Nice! I make it very rarely without a may, but which store did you find it at?

Another tip my Japanese friend had was always have an odd number of items in each roll. 1, 3or 5.

I used to make vegetarian sushi roll, and even asked my Korean friend to show me how to make perfect roll. I just couldn’t cut it well without making a mess. Then one day I saw there’s sometime called loose sushi dish, afterwards I just mix everything together with cooked and seasoned sushi rice ( substitute seaweed sheet to snacking seaweed, tear them apart and sprinkle on top). Can also add inside sweet sushi tofu skin.

Order it from a sushi restaurant, for starters.

You do not really need a sushi mat, I’ve never used one. Go to an Asian mart for laver or seaweed, but Walmart has it too. Make sure you use sushi rice, short or medium grain. Season the rice with sushi vinegar or seasoned rice vinegar when it’s hot, use paddle to mix it in.
Slice cucumbers, yellow pickled radish into long strips. Cut tofu into strips. Shred carrots. Cut avocado or mango into strips. Make omelet with vegan Just Egg if desired, then cut into strips. Don’t spread rice too thick on seaweed/laver. Moisten the top edge of the seaweed with water or rice vinegar when rolling, to seal. Wipe knife with hot wet cloth after each slice of roll. Or rice starch builds up.

You need a sushi mat. I have a traditional bamboo one but I see Amazon has a silicone one. I wrap mine in plastic wrap before using.

You can buy nori seaweed sheets at most groceries. They come in packs.

I would buy short grain sushi rice, also available at most groceries.

You need rice vinegar, salt and sugar for the seasoning, or a pre-seasoned rice vinegar.

Do I need a sushi making kit? Where do I get the seaweed to wrap around it?
