You must be a specific nationality to live there.

Might be true. There is a certain segment of the population that considers it the epitome of success to own a home there.

More convenient and just as nice would be Lansdowne, Belmont Country Club, Ashburn Farm, Broadlands. Bonus is that the school boundaries are a lot more secure. They keep having to build more and more schools in the Aldie area and can’t keep up.

Much of that area of Willowsford is now sending elementary kids to one school for K-2nd and an adjacent school for 3rd-5th. And both are pretty much brand new schools.

Come on I’m sure that’s not true.

Who in the world wants "Higher density"??? Those are like "fighting words". Why? The whole point of Aldie is to get the heck away from higher density.

I don’t think so, like if I lived out that way I wouldn’t be upset about living in Middleburg or Leesburg proper. That’s not fighting words. Middleburg is small, but it has very high walkability/density. You can easily walk to the grocery store, several restaurants, coffee shops, lots of retail.

It’s out there and the people I know who live there are very pretentious. Check out the demographics of Lightridge High School to get an idea of the surrounding area.

I don’t think they did a good job planning and developing that part of NOVA. Maybe because of transit or idk what, but none of the small areas of density feel authentic and the rest still feels like farms that have been defaced.

What do you think? What do you wish you knew before moving here?
