Verbal-120 (89th percentile)
Quantitative 138 (99th percentile)
Nonverbal 129 (97th percentile)

The 2020 outside report sure gave that impression, so much so that they said to get rid of the NNAT and FCPS had actually planned to do so. But then for reasons I never saw publicized they didn't. And now they use it as part of local building norms. So they must care a tiny bit. But I think it's a lot less than what they care about most (HOPE and then CogAT Quant).

AAP notifications go out April 4th and appeals due by May 1st. Would it be possible to schedule WISC for April 5th or 7th and have the results in time?

Ours took less than a week. They are aware of the FCPS deadlines and will work with you. But it's a good idea to schedule a head of time if you can because there will likely be a flurry of activity. I would see if they let you schedule for that timeframe now and you can always cancel.

Why the NNAT again instead of a WISC?

Good afternoon!
I would love to hear peoples opinions about the idea of retaking the NNAT.

DD (second grade) is SUPER motivated to do AAP4 (especially since her 4th grade brother is in AAP4). I'm worried that with her current scores she would likely not get in. We are in a highly compative pyramid and she did not make the pool, but I self referred.

Her current NNAT is 124 (93rd percentile) and her CoGAT is 135 (99th percentile).

After receiving her scores we signed her up for retaking the NNAT at Mason. It was pushed from last weekend to tomorrow due to the snow and now I'm having some last minute doubts.

If she takes the NNAT tomorrow and actually does worse than 124, will it further hurt her chances to get in? Do they just look at best score? All scores? Average of scores?
