We have been all around the country (national parks, major cities) and had zero issues. It's great for us, and I highly recommend.

We have two adults and two teens, so we pay $720 annually for our phone plans. We also have an app on our phones in case we want to check anything. My older teen mostly uses to see how much he's been online every day/week/month.

Thank you, this was helpful! I’m the OP and looking to move, cost is main reason but there are others. I’ve been with AT&T since 1999. I even survived the Cingular days, which is why this is a hard decision for me.

We pay $110/month for 3 lines with AT&T prepaid (unlimited data on one line, the others are 16GB). Have used the international feature once but usually we just sign up for a service local to the country (holafly for example)

ATT prepaid is $300 for the year with unlimited talk/text and 16GB data that rolls over for one month.

You can buy a week of international service if you go to another country on vacation ($35 for the week).

Also following. We have AT&T and they’re the worst. We had a billing problem caused by them and it look me hours to resolve. Each person I spoke to gave me different information and much of it made no sense.

+1 on T-Mobile. If you are traveling internationally, many countries have coverage

This podcast episode was incredibly helpful in exploring alternatives to Verizon and T-Mobile, like the fact that US Mobile sits on Verizon’s infrastructure for example. Worth a listen to help decide what matters to you!

If you travel internationally, think about TMobile - free data internationally, very low cost phone calls which you can avoid by using wifi calling, facetime or whatsapp, plus free wifi on several airlines, free netflix, hulu with ads, apple tv.

I’m spending $250 a month for 3 lines with AT&T. I’m looking to switch to either Mint or US Mobile to save money.

Does anyone have experience with either carrier in the DC area? I’m not concerned with data throttling as we typically don’t use much data.

Thanks!
