Subject: Is Epcot boring? And Disney for one night- which hotel?
We like the international restaurants at Epcot and often eat there.

Would it be ridiculous just to do Magic Kingdom 2 days?

Really? I hated Hollywood Studios! It lacked the magic of the other resorts imo and had no tree coverage. It felt so blah.

They would like Hollywood Studios much more. I found Epcot boring.

EPCOT is great - I think it has a good mix of Disney magic and other rides, has the aquarium, the countries, characters, good/different food options. you will have a great time.

I think it depends on if your kids like rides more than wandering around looking at things. Epcot has the newish Guardians of the Galaxy Rollercoaster that wasn't there last time we went so that might make it better, but otherwise I feel like it has fewer rides than the other parks. Soaring is great and so is Test Track, but TT is often down for maintenance. For kids your age I would definitely do one day at Magic Kingdom. If they are really into Star Wars I would add Hollywood Studios. If they like walking around experiencing things more than going on rides, I think Epcot would be great. My kids are more into rides so we skipped Epcot on our last trip.

I would do Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios for only two parks. I love Epcot but it’s light on rides and the hardest park to use Lightening Lane at.

EPCOT added more characters so it's more fun for kids but there are really only 2 rides (Soarin and Guardians of the Galaxy). The rest are the type you sit and look at stuff, they're not fast. We like those but they're not the same. Still, the countries are interesting and the food is good.
There are 8 deluxe hotels. I'd take AK Lodge and Wilderness Lodge off the list because for just 1 night you want to be as convenient as possible. Those are a step further from your 2 parks. The others are all home runs and you can't go wrong, plus they're all super close to either EPCOT or Magic Kingdom.

It's been 2-3 years, but last time we were at Epcot they had a scavenger hunt kind of thing for the countries. Kids got a "passport" and got stickers from each country and there were activities as well. My kids loved it.
Also look if you are there during a festival. Each festival tends to have unique food booths that are fun to try and also have a scavenger hunt where you find things in the park and then exchange the sheet for a price.

My kids, 8, 10, and 13 preferred Epcot over AK. We're going for the 2nd time soon and are thinking about just skipping AK all together. But Hollywood Studios > Epcot for them. But Epcot was a surprising hit for all of us, we didn't think we would like it that much.

I suggested shoving them some videos of it and see if they get hyped.

I love Epcot! Soarin' is my daughter's favorite ride. There are tons of things to do. Also, I had the best Mexican food I've ever eaten there. As for hotels, AK Lodge is amazing. We literally had giraffes right outside our windows. It was magical.

Epcot was fun. I enjoyed “visiting” all the countries.
We did go back to AK a second time and still enjoyed it.

I think Epcot is great for those ages, Soarin’, the Track, Space Mountain are fun rides! Plenty to do, my kids loved eating at the Biergarten in Germany and trying all the sodas at the Coca Cola experience.
I love the Yacht Club, which is convenient to Epcot. Get a room with a full sized balcony.

We are visiting family and going to go to Disneyworld for 1 night and visit two parks. Which one would you stay at? Doing Epcot and Disneyworld. Kids are 7 and 9. We loved Animal Kingdom but we already went a few years ago so I was considering something new. Is Epcot boring for these ages (boys)? They aren’t huge Disney kids and have only seen a few of the movies.. They loved Legoland when we went which was fine but lacked the magic of Disney parks. They have learned a lot about the different cultures in school so I wandered if visiting the countries would be interesting. That was my favorite part as a young child so I may be biased, lol! It also sparked a huge desire to travel internationally and I did for about 10 years and lived abroad prekids with my husband but I remember my husband and I went prekids and felt like it was lacking a bit compared to the other parks especially with fun rides. I like Epcot due to the nostalgia and heard they made some improvements over the years. Has anyone been recently?
So
1. Is Epcot boring for those ages? Active fun loving kids, interested in things but not overly so. There needs to be some fun factor to grab their attention.
2. Which hotel do you love for just one night? Deluxe please!
