I really liked it too. Unlike some of the PPs I personally did not think that The Storied Life of AJ Fikry was a good "read-alike." Fine book, but for me it wouldn't be satisfying if I were looking for something like "Tomorrow."

Here are some ideas of books that remind me in some way of Tomorrow, YMMV of course!:

Jennifer Egan--especially A Visit from the Goon Squad and Candy House

The Golem and the Djinni by Helene Wecker

Goodbye for Now by Laurie Frankel

Microserfs by Douglas Coupland

The Pleasure of My Company by Steve Martin

The Family Fang by Kevin Wilson

This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub

The Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing by Mira Jacob

I liked (loved?) the first half or even two thirds. Then there was a plot twist I really didn’t appreciate.

OP, I'm with you. I thought I wouldn't like it but ended up loving it.

I thought it was just ok, didn't love or hate it. I think it got overhyped because it's about a woman in the gaming industry which is an unusual premise for a book

I absolutely loved Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow!

You might also like All the Colors of the Dark, by Chris Whitaker. It’s more of a mystery, but the main characters are compelling and the book follows them from childhood to well into their adult lives.

I thought it dragged a bit in the middle, when it got more procedural/logistical than needed, IMHO. But overall, I think it’ll stick with me much like Tomorrow has.

Agreed - I loved Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. I knew after only reaching the 1/3 mark that it make it to my reread list.

Come back here when you've finished and are ready to talk spoilers. Doozies await you!

I thought this book wouldn’t be for me, but I am truly enjoying the story! It’s nothing deep but I love the characters and storyline so far. What other books out there would I like if I like this one?
