Yes but not in DC.

Yes he was. I should have said DMV. DC isn't the only city that counts.

2Amy, close to the Cathedral. I am Italian, born and raised in Italy, and go to 2Amys every week. Pizza is great, I just wish they had more classic Pizzas besides Margherita, such as Quattro Stagioni, Capricciosa etc. They also don’t have ham, i.e, prosciutto cotto, which is one of the main toppings of Italian pizzas, such as those I listed above.

Where are you, OP? I think the PPs that are mentioning Neapolitan style pizza are right.

You can get a good one in Vienna at Crust if you are in NoVA.

Right, Neapolitan! I suspect there are good pizza places, I just never was into pizza, never even tried to research/ ask for it. I love seafood. But that accidental pizza on vacation made me think to try find a close to true Italian pizza as possible

Hello, we were in California and somehow ended up in an Italian restaurant where I ordered pizza with prosciutto and caramelized pear. I am not a pizza fan assuming that the best pizza you can get in America is Papa John's or like that... That restaurant pizza I really loved. Mostly for its very light very airy thin crispy crust. Not your typical heavy dough Papa John's. So I wonder if there are any places in around DC where I can go for a good Italian quality pizza?
