College placement is largely determined by the league the club plays in and the self-marketing efforts of the individual player. You will have the best chances if you play MLSNext. Next best is ECNL. Not because the league means the coaching is better or the team is stronger, but just because that's where the colleges go looking for players. But even with those leagues, don't wait for colleges to find you, you need to find them. Reach out before showcases, send frequent updates with highlights, attend their ID camps to show interest, get good grades.

Our current club develops players well (kudos to coaches) but doesnt seem strong in placing them in colleges. I haven’t come to this board often but which clubs do you think are the best on the boys side?
