I had a child in elementary then. It was a mess for people who worked. It was good for Girl Scout meetings--not much else.

And, when we had late start days on Mondays, it was a joke.

It was stupid to have early release then, and it is stupid to have it now. It is not necessary.

I was also a product of FCPS and I remember my mom being upset when she found out about the schedule (had moved from out of state). She would also say has disappointed she was in general with the school system (compared to the small township school district we moved from).

I liked it. Lots of activities were offered so we had ballet or art or religious Ed.

And I'm a product FCPS so I myself grew up with half day Mondays in ES.


What do you want to know that hasn't already been posted in the old DCUM threads?

They used to get out early EVERY Monday. Not once a month. Yes. I was there. And now my last kid is a senior and we are ready to be out.
