Connections, whether she is a legacy, older girls from her high school who can vouch for her, at some schools, being on the dance/cheer team is an advantage.

It’s universally an awful experience, but if your kid can be happy at the least desirable house, it will be okay. Just know that being happy with 9 of the 10 options is still not a “good enough” attitude toward it and posters here will insult you and your kid.

I know that a lot of schools are going through it now. Is it going well? My DD will go through it next year and I’ve heard it is tough at the school she is going to (Indiana).
