Deacon retiring would make sense simply because of his age. He's been there since the 1960s/70s, if I recall. Longer than the President who retired.
I'm not so sure they go to Common App just yet. Their portal is kinda annoying, though. They did add a text box for the special talent essay, yet the other essays still are an uploaded PDF. I don't understand why they didn't simply make text boxes for those too.
I'd be interested to know what they do with the lower scores.
