People think because they know one 1600 that attends XYZ U's honors college everyone in that college is like that. So wrong.

Honors Program at NC State has been wonderful. My DD (Engineering) chose to not stay in the Honors dorms, but she has very much enjoyed the activities, trips, lectures, events, etc that are part of the program.

There’s been two other posts in the last month, posing almost exactly the same question. Search this forum with the toolbar and you should find them.

I didn’t think Oxford at Emory was an honors program.

Oxford at Emory is the opposite of an honors college. It’s a junior college that feeds into Emory.

That would be like saying UVA Wise is an honor college.

Oxford at Emory is not an honors college. It's a campus 45 minutes away from the main campus in a sleepy Southern town.

Where do I find more information on specific honors colleges within mid or larger sized unis?

I've seen threads on Oxford (Emory), Barrett (ASU) and South Carolina so I was intrigued!

Do any of your kids have experience with honors college communities at GW, American, UW, U Wisconsin at Madison, U Colorado, etc.?
