Definitely not.

They did not close for Bush 41's service, which was during a regular school day.

If they don't, Fed parents can get the day off without kids at home after three days at home with kids! If they do close Thurs for funeral or for weather related, they should just give the whole week off.

MCPS is open every year on Columbus/Indigenous People Day. They aren’t part of the federal government and don’t need to close for federal holidays, although they often choose to.

If they were going to close, they would have already announced it.

They were also open on Veteran's day, so probably not.
