Some clubs also don't want their swimmers skipping LC season practice for camp. There's probably a missed opportunity for someone to run an age-group residential swim camp in August!

He won't miss the whole season, but he would miss a week of what is just a 5 week season which he is not interested in doing. It's such a short season and he loves every minute of it.

Most of them run Sunday to Friday. For NVSL, this means you don’t miss an A meet.

Are there any summer swim camps that don't interfere with the summer swim season? I looked at Navy, UVA, VA Tech and they are all at the start of summer. My kid would love to do a summer swim camp, but missing the swim season at our summer pool is a hard pass for him.
