I don't think Catholic-status is required for the HSPT scholarships, if memory servers (one of my kids got the 99% scholarship and I don't recall anything about Catholic-status or not ... we are Catholic so I may have overlooked it, but I don't think so). Congratulations to your kid!

Only partly answers your question but DC attended a public school and received a scholarship based on HSPT scores. We are Catholic, but I don't think that matters.

We know a non-Catholic who received one at another school. My guess is that your DC would still be eligible.

What was their score? The $1500 scholarship is obviously less impactful than the $9500 for 99th percentile. My ds had a 98th percentile and got that scholarship, but we’re catholic coming from a parish school.

My understanding in general is that non-Catholics with qualifying scores are eligible for scholarships, but I don’t have specific experience with Ireton.

My DC got a score on the HSPT in Dec that qualifies for a scholarship at BI based on what they have online. I know they are not automatic by any means based on the language online, but do they go to non-Catholics? It doesn’t say one way or the other.

We are not Catholic and assuming acceptance in general we’re very curious if DC would receive it. We wouldn’t qualify for aid. We’ve got two more kids following closely behind so we’d love to have some burden relieved—especially since they are for 4 years.
