NP. College choice is about the best fit for a particular student. Fit has many non-numeric parameters.

Agree. If you're applying to JMU might as well shoot your shot to VT and try and get into the t75.

My friend’s son was rejected instate. I don’t know his exact stats but I do know he didnt have any APs and only 1 honors in history. I believe he had a weighted gpa in the low 3s like 3.3.

He is happily at GMU now.

Anyone have an in-state student who applied to JMU but was rejected in past (I know this year's decisions aren't out, yet)? Wondering what stats/profiles get rejected because it's the only school in my senior's basket. While that makes me nervous, they seem to take it for granted they will get in. But our local school district data indicates almost half who applied last year did not get accepted.
