I'm getting tons of Factor ads and those seem to be ready made meals.

I have tried a few meal services (like blue apron and similar, that was more like truly cooking, and some like factor that were just microwave and eat) and factor was probably my favorite. Food tasted good usually, and it was always pretty healthy and pretty easy to put together . That being said, it was really things like “take this prepared chicken, cut it up, microwave this ready made brown rice packet, add these stir fry veggies that are pre chopped, and add this sauce”. So incredibly fast, mostly already prepared, and IMO expensive for what it was. You can make the exact same meals with a rotisserie chicken, a bag of pre chopped veggies, the same exact packet of microwaveable brown rice, and a sauce, from even an expensive grocery store like Whole Foods, for the same effort and less cost. Once I realized that, I couldn’t justify the cost anymore, but it did make me realize I could make healthy, mostly already prepared, meals from the grocery store myself and that would better and cheaper than any meal kit (not as cheap as cooking everything myself and chopping that broccoli on my own, but, I was looking for time savers!)

It’s okay. Fresh, healthy food but limited variety got boring.

Jesus. Can no one grocery shop themselves anymore?

I did it for several months after my second was born, and it was very good for having simple/quick meals readily available. It’s not the most exciting food and it does t feel “chef” quality, but the ingredients are decent and the meals are balanced, so I’d certainly try it if you’re curious.

I use it and it's fine. Many things aren't really recipes so much as "open these packages and mix together." I was looking for easy things my DCs could put together for dinner and they're perfect for that. The ingredients seem high quality.

I am being bombarded with ads for Hungry Root. Has anyone tried it?
