Women-don't trust them.

I would say women, not exactly because they are sneaky but because women seem to be able to compartmentalize better than men. My wife it’s not a liar but my wife lied to me thousands of times because she was able to keep her entire extra relationship in a partitioned off part of a brain.

I would say women because either my ex (man) is really dumb while thinking himself clever or he wanted to leave a trail of breadcrumbs (actually proper comparison would probably be Google map directions with longitude and latitude coordinates lol)

Like much of life, most men are significantly worse, women are in the middle, and then there is a small percentage of men who are exceptionally better than everyone else.

More men would delve into the technology side to leave zero traces but, again, that is a small percentage overall and most men would fck that up royally.

If a woman is cheating but sincerely doesn't want to be discovered because it's not part of an exit strategy then I'd say she will be very good at hiding it.

Also, I think women are better at figuring out how a cheater could get caught and preventing that.

My ex and I tried the open marriage thing. It was a disaster. But anyway, we agreed to speak matter of factly about plans and other people, and not throw feelings of excitement in each other’s faces.

My ex was a disaster. Careless.

Men are just notoriously bad at noticing the details. It could be happening right under their nose and they wouldn't see it.

I will say women only because men fall for their fake tears when they are challenged.

As an evolutionary matter, women who were bad at covering their cheating did not survive.

The narcissist one in the relationship is probably better at covering their tracks. My ex wife would have won a nobel prize in cheating sneakiness if such a prize existed. But she is was an extreme narcissist and I think narcissistic people have mastered the art of sneakiness and gaslighting so they will probably cover their track better. It's not a gender thing.

Women generally still make less or have stepped back a little once kids are born, they face greater stigma for cheating, their DH is far more likely to leave them than give it a try than if the genders were reversed, etc etc.
