I can't believe people get excited for crossover SUV momcars. May as well get excited over a blender or something.

I’d never buy a KIA (killed in action).

I still peek out at it from my window - thought I was the only starer 😂

I absolutely love my ‘22 Telluride SX. I still turnaround and stare at it when I park. Drives like a dream. I’m right at 71k. I do wish they had some type of turbo or supercharged version. I will say I won’t buy another unless they go back to the halo headlights. That was the selling point for me

I love my Kia! Ver comfortably ride and great value for money. I’ve had it 2.5 years.

I used to think Kia was the cheapest, most unreliable car brand around but am also wondering if these cars are getting better now w/time.

I think it's a combo of possibly having gotten better and also the long-term warranty they have; people are more likely to take a perceived risk. Plus, their looks have gotten better, IMO. If you watch mechanic videos, though, there are still plenty who say not to buy Kia or Hyundai -- they may be basing that off of older models, though. It seems that people of a certain generation view them as being poor quality, but maybe younger buyers aren't viewing them the same way.

They have a reputation for quickly discontinuing car models and parts so it's not going to be a car that lasts forever.

I have a telluride, down sized after getting rid of my odyssey/minivan. My three teenagers, they’re fairly petite, find the 3rd row ok. We’ve managed to shove our family of 5 plus our dog and luggage into it for beach trips, pretty tight but doable. It’s been reliable, no major problems since buying it (during the pandemic).

I have noticed tons of Kias on the road, in our neighborhood and at pickup at my younger kids daycare. It’s not a brand I would have considered a few years ago, but we just got one ourselves. I tested out four comparable cars and the Kia had the best value for money for me. I don’t need the slickest or best car, I want to pay as little as possible and still get a couple nice features. I think Kia has figured out how to do that lately vs. just being the “cheap car”

Look up oil consumption issues. Also, Telluride is a very old design. Going to be redesigned very soon and then your new car will look "old" - if that is something you care about.

But yes, they are obviously a popular car. My cousin has one in the highest possible trim though and it doesn't feel very "luxury" to me. And with most cars of that size, third row is a joke.

We see them everywhere on the road and they seem to have grown in popularity in a very short period of time. Thinking there must be a reason(s). If you have one, have you been happy with it? We have always purchased Toyotas and Hondas for their reliability. How reliable is the Telluride?
